Our Values and Aims

At Rokeby Park Primary School, we work together to ensure our school is a happy and successful place.

We are an inclusive school, we work hard to meet the needs of all our pupils and everything we do is underpinned by our school values, these are:

  • Responsibility – we all take responsibility for ourselves and our actions so that everyone in school has the opportunity to learn and become successful.

  • Respect – we all show each other and the environment respect so that everyone can enjoy coming to school and feel safe and happy.

  • Resilience – we all try our best, work hard and have aspirations for the future.

We are ambitious for our pupils and always encourage them to ‘aim for the stars’ and this drives the ethos of the school and our commitment to improving outcomes for our pupils. Our school values help everyone to achieve this vision.  We work together with our school community to ensure our school is a happy, safe and successful place, that our pupils are enabled to be positive citizens in society and they are prepared for the next stage in education and life.

To do this we aim to:

  • Ensure our pupils’ social and emotional needs are met to help develop their morality, resilience and confidence.

  • Provide a positive, happy, welcoming learning environment.

  • Provide a broad, engaging, exciting and relevant curriculum to help motivate our pupils and ignite their curiosity and ambition so they have a love for learning.

  • Provide opportunities to support pupils’ mental and physical health.

  • Support our pupils to develop their spiritual and cultural awareness.

  • Ensure all our pupils meet or exceed their personal potential.
