Year 3 are feeling really happy on World Mental Health Day. We also wanted to cheer you up too!

Year 1/2 celebrated World Mental Health day by completing mindful activities. This included doodling what makes them happy & speaking with friends. They completed word searches & 'unwind the mind' colour mat. We spoke about what this day means and celebrating Young Minds charity.

The children in Reception have been using various objects to organise groups using the words more and less.
The Foundation children had the best time yesterday baking bread. We enjoyed mixing and kneading the dough and then baking it in the oven just like the Little Red Hen in our story!
In celebration of Black History Month KS1 have been focusing on Frederick McKinley Jones & his invention of the refrigerated systems in trucks.We spoke about the impact this had past & present.We also focused our story time reading books relating to significant black people! #BHM

KS1 completed a comparative test in Science testing out different materials to see which were suitable to make a tea bag. We had to test the different materials in water and test their absorbency. We have some mini Scientists in the making!
The children in EYFS have picked some home grown tomatoes ready for snack on Monday.
